The Citizen is Present

The intention of our performances, which have meanwhile taken place in more than 25 cities in Germany, Switzerland and Spain as well as at the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2019 (COP 25) in Madrid, is to bring the citizen's attention to the present moment and thus to the shared public space.

Every citizen has a responsibility for the public space and what happens in it. We would like to remind, inspire and invite to this social and human responsibility with this silent art action.

Simply by looking at and seeing each other we as citizens come into the here and now and thus become a conscious, present part of the shared public space.

We are a group of people who share the values of mindfulness, humanity and social responsibility and want to express them in an artistic way. This art action is inspired by the performance of the artist Marina Abramovic "The Artist is Present" at the Museum of Modern Arts in New York in 2010.
